Packing up for another meal delivery. This client had an immediate food delivery so I brought her a soup, tea and ghee right to the hospital. The timing was perfect and I got there 20 minutes after she had her baby!

We’ll be doing weekly meal delivery and abyhangas 3 times a week now that she’s home. Taking care of a new baby is a lot, how did you take care of yourself during that time?

This morning I got an email from a baby tracking app saying that according to his age, our little one doesn’t have the ability to hold things… but I took this picture at dinner last night. So just here as a reminder that no one knows your baby better than you! And that milestones are just guidelines, take a deep breath and listen to your gut!

Do you know the things that help you reset? Things that give you a break and help you reset emotionally, mentally and physically?

As you take any life transition, I think it’s important to know but especially as you enter postpartum and parenting.

The past few days have been rough and I’m grateful for having conversations with my partner before about the things, like baths, that help me reset.

Let’s normalize needing breaks as parents and talking about things when they get hard!

Play time is also yoga time! I’ve been finding my way back to my mat while the little one plays. Just a reminder that yoga can look like anything and that it’s ok if it feels weird or different when you come back to your mat after a break. I certainly don’t feel like I did pre pregnancy and that’s ok!

I’ll be returning to teaching soon and am accepting doula clients with due dates in September!
