A study in the UK from the Occupational Medicine Journal showed that of the 37 employees who participated in the yoga program by attending one 50 minute class per week for 8 weeks. The results indicate that workplace yoga can reduce perceived stress and back pain and improve psychological well-being.
The Mayo Clinic reports that “yoga can help reduce risk factors for chronic diseases, such as heart disease and high blood pressure. Yoga might also help alleviate chronic conditions, such as depression, pain, anxiety, and insomnia.”
Not only are healthy employees better employees, but healthier employees help the business provide insurance and better benefits for everyone. They’re also happier, this Harvard Health article talks about how yoga can help regulate stress, improve anxiety and improve depression.
